Our 1-to-1 sessions provide focused support for children who benefit from more individualised attention in specific areas of development, learning, behaviour, or everyday functioning. Working closely with each child, our therapists target meaningful skills and goals at a pace and level of support that is responsive to their individual needs.

Sessions are available at home or in our centre, allowing intervention to take place in the environment most relevant to each child's goals, whether that means developing skills within everyday routines or building them in a structured learning environment.

Let’s take a look!

From first steps to meaningful milestones, see how individualised 1-to-1 support can help each child build skills, grow in confidence, and make meaningful progress towards their goals.

Speech Clarity

As Little T's vocabulary expanded, we noticed that he sometimes missed sounds within words, such as saying “zue-ah” instead of “zebra”. Using visual speech segmentation strategies, we helped him become more aware of how sounds and syllables come together within words.

With practice, his articulation became clearer, supporting him to communicate using a growing range of words and sentences with greater confidence.

Functional Communication

From initially using only a few words, Little T has made meaningful progress in communicating his wants and needs more independently. He is now using language for a wider range of purposes, from requesting toys, food, and actions to initiating shared play and engaging more meaningfully with others.

Early Literacy

Building on his developing awareness of sounds, we introduced early literacy skills to support his next stage of learning.

Little T progressed from recognising letters and identifying their sounds to blending sounds together and beginning to read, laying important foundations for his continued literacy development.

Expanding Language

Little N initially communicated mainly through sounds and familiar single words. As his understanding of language developed and his vocabulary expanded, so did his ability to express himself. He now communicates his wants and needs using simple sentences, follows verbal directions more readily, and has even taken part in "show and tell", sharing with others using a script prepared together with his therapist.

Seeing Little N find new ways to express himself and take on learning with increasing independence has been a wonderful part of his growth.

School Readiness & Writing

When Little N first joined us at four years old, writing was challenging. He was still building the hand strength, dexterity, coordination, and foundational skills needed to hold and control writing tools effectively. Over time, hands-on activities such as playdough manipulation, tracing, and pre-writing tasks helped strengthen these foundations.

Today, he recognises all letters and is increasingly able and willing to engage in writing activities.

Little N Today

From developing his early communication and literacy foundations to now reading with growing confidence, Little N has come a long way. We were so proud seeing him independently notice when something he has read was not right, communicate his correction, and return to the text to try again.

It is a wonderful reflection of his growing language, reading, and self-monitoring skills coming together.

Speech Clarity

When Little S first joined us at two years old, he had limited spoken language and often omitted the beginning sounds of words, such as saying “un” instead of “sun”. We worked on building his awareness and production of these sounds through sound-based activities, modelling, and targeted practice.

Over time, Little S developed greater clarity in his speech and confidence in expressing himself. Today, he has come a long way from those early sounds and is now able to read books independently with clear and confident articulation.

Expanding Language

As Little S's speech developed, we expanded our focus towards helping him use language in more meaningful and varied ways. He worked on broadening his vocabulary, expressing his wants and needs, understanding language and concepts, describing attributes, and learning to ask and answer questions.

From building his first clear sounds to communicating his thoughts and ideas, Little S is progressing into a more confident and capable communicator.

Little S Today

From confidently practising his firefighter show-and-tell to independently reading a book with clarity, these moments capture just how far Little S has come.

Seeing him bring together his speech, language, and literacy skills with such confidence makes every step of his journey even more meaningful.
